Beavers, Beavers, Beavers! Sharing, Sharing, Sharing!Beavers are our junior section for 6 to 8 year olds. Our programme is designed to meet the needs of young people in this age group. Beavers work towards the same ideals as the other sections which seek to develop the young person physically, mentally, socially and spiritually. The motto of Beavering is "Sharing" and this is cry is heard (for miles around!) at the start and end of every meeting. The motto is reflected in the programme where the young person learns to share through co-operationg, teamword and effort. The emphasis here is on meeting and interacting with people of their own age in a programme based around fun and discovery. Our beavers run a fun and active programme with games, stories, arts & crafts, singing and nature studies in the hall as well as walks around the local woods and trips to the community centre to jump around on the play-area in the warmer months. The beavers also enjoy the annual regional events including the Christmas panto and summer days out as well as other local events.
